WHAT IS SPKK CERTIFICATE?
Government Job Application Certificate (SPKK) is a certificate that qualifies your company and business to participate in the tender application process by the government. This certificate is processed and issued through the implementation of the Single Contractor Registration System (SSPK). Why is it said so? This is because the completion and completion of this certificate is actually combining the registration procedures with government work-related bodies such as the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and also the Contractor Service Centre (PKK).
Once you have successfully applied for and subsequently possessed this certificate, you will be deemed to be a legally registered contractor under the jurisdiction of CIDB. In other words, the contractor under your care has already successfully met the stipulations and requirements coordinated by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia. With this certificate, you are eligible to follow and participate in any government activity in construction works. Nevertheless, it still needs to comply with the various level qualifications which have been set by the government.
SHALL I APPLY FOR SPKK CERTIFICATE?
For your information, this SPKK certificate must be owned by all companies and businesses that want to take government tenders. So you need to understand what kind of government contract you want to do, and what kind of contractor you’re doing business with. One of the criteria to get SPKK certificate, contractors are compulsory to do SCORE and get minimum of 2 to 3 stars above according to the contractor’s grade.
WHEN DO I NEED SPKK CERTIFICATE?
When do you need to apply for this certificate? This SPKK certificate must be applied for before you apply for any tender related to any government body. Under Malaysian law, all contractors registered under the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board Act (Act 520) and meet the conditions set out by the law are eligible and will not face any legal obstacles to apply for a Government Procurement Certificate. (SPKK). For all contractors who still have a valid Certificate of Registration with CIDB, you are also eligible to apply for SPKK, but must be subject to the conditions that have been set.
WHERE IS THIS CERTIFICATE ISSUED?
This SPKK certificate is issued by CIDB only and no third party can issue a SPKK certificate. All applications for SPKK must be made with the required form type application. All these qualifications must be completed by the Key Management Officer (MKO) or an authorized representative of the MKO.
